My cloud should be accessible within my own domain, what needs to be done?

You can configure your own domain via our Portknox app.

All necessary information can be found there.

A custom domain can only be added with the Multi and Professional plans.

How to Update Your DNS Records

1. Log in to your domain provider

Go to your provider’s website (e.g. IONOS, Strato) and sign in to your account.

2. Navigate to the DNS settings

Look for the section where you can manage your DNS records. Depending on the provider, it may be called “DNS Management,” “Zone Editor,” or something similar.

3. Locate your A and AAAA records

You’ll see a list of current DNS records. Look for entries of type:

  • A (for IPv4)

  • AAAA (for IPv6)

4. Edit the records

  • Replace the existing A record with our IPv4 address:
    49.12.184.50

  • Add a new AAAA record with our IPv6 address: 2a01:4f8:c012:83d1::1

5. Save and wait

Save your changes. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours for the updates to fully propagate worldwide.
